Over the past two weeks, Wolverine has made significant progress on the cleanup work at its former tannery site in Rockford. This work is described in detail here and here, and shown on this map.
We have completed excavating and are in the process of backfilling most of the areas located south of Rum Creek, and have begun excavating the areas located north of Rum Creek. For those two areas, labeled N1 and N2 and shown in orange on the map, we are using sheet piling to construct temporary cofferdams in the Rogue River. Also, we are using silt curtains to prevent the migration of sediment or other material from the site into the river.
Some photos of the work performed this week are included at the end of this post. To help track the work, here is a chart showing the material we anticipate excavating from each area, and the current status of our activities:

S1 | Soil | Excavation in progress |
S2 | Soil | Excavation complete |
