We continue implementing the EGLE-approved work plan at our House Street property to construct three engineered caps over 27 acres as shown in the figure below and the approved plan.

Over the last two weeks our contractor, RECON, has continued to relocate and place material within the footprint of the caps. Within the next two weeks they will complete final grading for the northwest cap, and by June 17 we anticipate that the geomembrane liner installers will arrive to begin placement of the liner over that graded mound. Placement of the liner may require extended work hours on weekdays (7 AM to 7 PM), but should not result in any additional truck traffic outside of normal work hours.
The installers will weld the seams of the liner together during placement using a heating tool. Both RECON and GZA will collect samples of the liner welds to confirm that they meet the strength requirements before the liner is covered with barrier soil, topsoil, and seed.
Installation of the liner over the northwest cap is expected to continue through mid-July, and while that is happening RECON will continue preparing the other caps for liner placement so that the installers can move through each of them as they are ready.
We continue to collect perimeter air monitoring on a regular basis, and there have been no exceedances of action levels. The air monitoring data is available in the “Documents” section of this blog or by clicking on this link, and it is updated weekly. We continue to evaluate the data to be proactive with dust control as needed.
Photos of the site showing the grading and site preparation are below:

Aerial view of the House Street property from overhead drone taken on May 31st. Southwest mound is visible in the lower left, northwest and northeast mounds with soil placement and grading in progress are located in the top left and right, respectively.

Aerial view of the northern mounds facing east. Both mounds are in the process of being regraded to prepare for liner placement.
We still anticipate that grading, liner installation, liner cover, and related work will continue through November and that some remaining work, including grass planting, will occur in 2025.
